Benefits of Massage
What to expect from a massage?

Swedish Massage

A system of long strokes, kneading, and friction techniques on more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints. It works primarily to induce general relaxation while improving circulation and range of motion.

Deep Tissue Massage

A technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber’s of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Trigger Point & Myofascial Release

Deep pressure to deactivate localized hypersensitivity within skeletal muscles, followed by gentle stretching of the elastic fiber of connective tissue.

Polarity Therapy

An energy-based system that uses gentle to vigorous holding, rocking, and vibrating movements to balance energy throughout the body. In Polarity Therapy, the practitioner’s hands act as a kind of magnetic transmitter of energy to stimulate and amplify the client’s own energy.

Lymphatic Massage

A technique that uses light and rhythmic strokes to improve lymphatic flow. Increased lymph flow removes harmful substances from the tissues and increases immune function. This massage helps the lymphatic vessels and nodes clear waste, bacteria, viruses, water, fats, and excess protein, which cause edema in the body.

Sports Massage

A group of massage techniques specifically designed to aid in athletic performance. Sports Massage addresses specific needs of athletes using Swedish massage, cross-fiber friction massage, deep compression massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release to enhance performance, or promote healing post-injury. It includes pre-event, inter-event, and post-event massage.
